Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 continues where the last two left off—but now everything feels a bit more off. The factory is colder, quieter, and harder to read. It’s not about cheap jump scares this time. The tension is steady, sitting in your chest the whole time you're moving through the place.
This chapter adds a new mechanic that changes how you see the world: the Mask. You find it early on, and once you start using it, you’ll need it often. It reveals things the normal view can’t—symbols on walls, doors you didn’t know were there, strange messages that make you pause. Putting it on never feels safe, but you can’t avoid it either.
CatNap is the new threat, and it’s not like the others. Huggy chased you. Mommy played with you. CatNap just waits. It watches. You’ll hear it first—soft singing, padded steps, static. It shows up less often, but when it does, it’s worse because you don’t know what it’ll do. Sometimes it only looks at you. Other times, it’s gone before you can hide. The unpredictability is what makes it work.
The puzzles are smarter now. They don’t tell you what to do. Some require the Mask, while others require you to reroute wires using the GrabPack. A few demand memory—what was in that room two floors back? What symbol was scratched on that door? You’ll find yourself backtracking just to double-check.
The factory itself feels larger, but more detailed. The rooms have signs of people—notes left behind, drawings on the wall, broken toys. It makes everything feel like something really happened here, not just a spooky game set. There’s a lot to find if you take the time to look.
What’s great is the pace. There’s always something new around the next corner—another locked door, a strange sound, a hint at what went wrong here. Chapter 3 is longer than the last ones, but it earns it. It never feels padded.
Step 1: Open the game and choose Chapter 3 from the menu. You’ll need to finish the first two chapters to unlock it. If you haven't played in a while, the game gives a quick summary.
Step 2: Move using the WASD keys. Look around with your mouse. Use Space to jump. Your GrabPack is ready by default—left-click for the blue hand, right-click for the red one.
Step 3: You’ll get the Mask early on. Press "Q" to put it on. This reveals hidden doors, messages, and objects. Some puzzles won’t make sense without it.
Step 4: Solve puzzles to move forward. Use your GrabPack to carry power between switches or pull heavy objects. Some puzzles need you to switch between the normal view and the Mask.
Step 5: Pay attention to sound. CatNap doesn’t roar—it hums. When you hear it, stop. Hide in vents or behind boxes until the sound fades.
Step 6: Search every room. Some areas are easy to miss but hold important story pieces or extra items. Look up, down, and behind things.
Step 7: The chapter ends with a final challenge. You’ll need to use everything—your memory, the Mask, the GrabPack. Stay sharp.
